| After 43 years of gorgeous hair, Shylocks of Fifth Avenue is closing its doors on April 1, 2016. I am retiring after running the salon for the past 21 years after my husband (and Shylocks' founder) August Chemotti passed away in 1995.
It has been quite a journey, and I would personally like to thank all of you, our clients, and especially the many talented stylists that have worked here through the years. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Kelly Neyland, my manager for the last 14 years, for her support.
As I step away from the physical Shylocks location, I will still be managing the sale of our fabulous Shylocks Oil through our website and at limited salons. Once again, thank you all for your patronage and support. I know our stylists will continue to be successful in their new locations. - Barbara Chemotti
